Peter Eigan talks about corruption

1) Eigan speaks mostly about Africa, can you think of some examples in Latin America where corruption may be to bad social results?

I think that the most corrupted contries in Latin America are:

Argentina está entre los 10 países más corruptos de América latina
  • Peru
  • Argentina
  • Bolivia
  • Paragay
  • Brazil
  • Ecuador
  • Colombia
  • Venezuela
  • Guyana
  • Suriname
  • French Guiana

2) Why do Nirthern countries think that bribery is ok in the development world? What is the impact on the relationship between the producer companies and developing world in this scheme?

In too many parts of the world powerfull people use this mecanism to do things "more easily and more quickly" and especially to do what ever they want want with that money. The impact in this relationship is too much difficult to understand, in my opinion.

3) What does Eigan mean when he refers to "Soft Power" and "Civil"?

I think he means by Soft Power like a power over someone but not furcing that person do things you want. Civil society means a society where people conserve their values and respect other.

4)  What presidential election will you first be eligible to vote in?

I will be able to vote in 2019.

5)  How important is the issue of corruption to you?

I think is very important because corruption decrease the improvement of the country in many aspects.

6)What are you prepared to do about it?

I think that I can't do too much in this age, because adults didn't listen young people, but I would try to do something like telling people that is wrong and that they can try first the right way.

Gender Violence

Latin America has made huge progress in getting women into government, why is violence still such a    large problem in your opinion?

In my opinion I think that women do not get a job inside the government, because years ago most women do not have enough education than know so women’s first enters about their child or the thing in the house, but this idea have change because many women study’s in good university and have a same or better curriculum than a men. The problem is that many people can’t understand these things, that women’s are more than ladies in their houses taking care about their kids, so women are more than that nowadays. Finally I think that because of these ideas people don’t trust in ladies and her abilities.

·                   What steps can be taken to improve the situation for women in Latin America?

The steps that can’t be taken around the world not just in Latin America is that parents in their houses tell their kids about this topic and by taking in house about politics, like what about Christina Fernandez the argentines president or Dilma Rousseff brazilians president.

What are some obstacles to taking these steps?  In other words, if there is an obvious solution, why is it not being taken?

I think that many parents do not care about this topic but are some that like that their child knows about the reality of the world, so that’s why the world do not improve and why are too many wars and the society don’t accept a real world where everybody have the same rights.

  • Was it fun/interesting/ education...?
I thing that this type of trips are education because is another way to learn about history and other thing but the mean thing is that it has to be fun, because if this trips were boring I thing anybody would learn bout something. So in my personal opinion this type of trips are interesting because you know people that you didn't use to talk.

  • What was the best part?
The best part was when all the group were walking around the mountains, it was amazing because from there you can see all Pachacamac, the beach and some part of Chorrillos.

The Dirty Heads:

  • Stand Tall

The meaning of this video is that every work in group that you do with your friends or any person is important and is any trouble if you did it wrong or good the most important thing is that you did it the best you can and that people can see what you have done with your on hands.
Another thing that the video demonstrate is that if you have troubles to do something or if people didn't like what you do and try damage you, you just need to continue,  it doesnt matter what they said because the key of improvement is your on happiness.
